The career fair held at the Wyoming FFA State Convention is a longstanding tradition. Hosted by the Wyoming FFA Foundation, the career fair gives students the opportunity to meet representatives from colleges, companies, and government entities that offer them everything from snacks to scholarships to internships.

Not only is the career fair well attended every year, it is also a highlight of the students who attend convention. Students are challenged with a scavenger hunt that encourages them to meet vendors and attend workshops that are held all day on Leadership Development Event Thursday.

Some of the vendors include Stotz Equipment, Essential Feeds, Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation, and High Noon Show Feeds. Community colleges from around the state also made an appearance, along with Chadron State College, the University of Idaho, and the University of Wyoming.

Foundation chair Oaklee Anderson said “This year we grew form 26 vendors to 31 vendors. The most beneficial part for students is getting to interact with not only industry representatives but also colleges. We have two out of state colleges this year which is great for the students.”

The career fair is a huge hit and this year proves that more than ever. Thank you to everyone that came!
