WYOMING MALTING COMPANY

TOUR IS FULL

See the only production malt house in Wyoming. We start with grains from local farmers, clean it on site, then malt it, which is a 7-8 day process. We then clean again, and bag to ship to breweries. We use some of the malt produced onsite at the distillery. Since we control much of the process, we are a soil to spirits facility. Students will be able to taste some different grains after malting, so kids can see how different varieties taste different, and how our maltster can change the flavor of the barley from batch to batch.

Address: 322 N. Beech St, PIne Bluffs. Take I-80 East to exit 401. Left under 80, hit stop sign, turn east onto Highway 30. Turn North at main street to cross tracks. First right after FVC onto dirt road. Will be able to see large red building from there.

Travel Time: From Red Lion Hotel, approx 45 minutes. Must provide own transportation.
